Spare yourself a last-minute run to the ATM and think about tips a few weeks before your wedding. Who deserves one? Who already added gratuity to their contract? Who’s responsible for handing the tips out?
When I’m put in charge of tipping, the couple usually gives me the cash (or sometimes, checks) during the rehearsal or on the morning of the wedding. They also tell me how much to tip each vendor. Then, I tip each vendor (“The couple wanted to thank you for your work”) as they wrap up service.
To help inform your own tipping decisions, I’ve put together a cheat sheet of who to tip (or not to tip) at your wedding. You’ll find it, and other free wedding planning resources, here.
