COVID Wedding Planning: What Do I Say to My Wedding Vendors?

This story was originally published on March 5, 2021, and last updated on February 2, 2022.

There are two main groups of people that a couple talks to when planning a wedding: their wedding guests and their wedding vendors.

  • Read this story if you want language for how to communicate with your GUESTS.

  • Read the story below if you want language for how to have similar conversations with your VENDORS. These conversations may seem like too much to take on but please remember: Your wedding vendors have families, too.

The below will be a lot easier if you and your partner have first created a COVID safety policy for your wedding. Here’s a template. The idea is that you create the COVID safety policy and then figure out how to share it with people using the templates below to help.

Not every scenario is captured below so if you don’t see your experience reflected in the below, please email me (elisabeth@elisabethkramer.com). You can also use that email if you want to chat about a way to hire my wedding planner brain and/or do this work for you.

Thank you for prioritizing health, safety, and joy as you plan your wedding. Not easy! Very important!
