My clients often feel isolated as they plan their weddings. They can’t talk about the hard parts because people think they’re complaining, ungrateful, or second-guessing their choice to get married. But I know something my clients don’t: They’re not alone. Hear it from people who’ve been there.

Worst surprise?
We stayed until the very end of our reception and after the final song everyone expected us to make a speech. I wasn’t prepared at all and it felt very awkward. I was put on the spot and I didn’t know what to say.
Biggest regret?
Not getting a photo booth. I love photos and especially love photo booths. We thought we could do our own with a camera and a tripod but with the craziness of that day we left them in the car that stayed at the hotel.
Even if we had remembered it, I think a real photo booth would have been better as it would have given our guests something to do if they didn't want to dance. Plus, it would have given everyone photos of our day.
Best advice?
Wear your hair on your wedding day like you wear it most days. I tend to wear my hair up because it’s easier (and because I play with it). I was tempted to have my hair down because of how it would look with my dress, but I am so glad I didn't. I would have wanted my hair up by the time the ceremony was over.
